Un Chien Andalou(An Andalusian Dog)

Luis Bunuel, and Salvador Dali's production was a very bizarre film. It is a short film, about 16 minutes. Basically all images do not make sense to me, it does not have a plot. It goes from a place in time to the other without explaining what happened. I believe that the producers did not want to make sense of anything, I also saw that all the movie was full of symbolisms. This film made me think a lot, going from different images trying to put it all together, but I realized that not everything has to mean or transmit a normal message for us to appreciate it.

L.H.O.O.Q. Object Trouve

This postcard of the Mona Lisa, changed by Marcel Duchamp was a clear example of the Object Trouve, which means to decontextualize something that has been already prepared or made. This was a postcard which held the great Mona Lisa one of the paintings that changed art history, changed by Duchamp to a new piece of art. L.H.O.O.Q( Elle ache au cul) meaning her ass is on fire was a new element to the new Art piece.

1950-1971 A Clockwork Orange

The postwar era where the world had waken up from a somehow isolated front between countries, to a more hostile and aware place. By this I mean that during the years of 1950 to 1971 there was a thirst for future technology, some kind of a race. This brought a lot of differences and cultural crashes between the adult age and the new young era. Which grew up in a place were women started having sexual freedom in the 1960's because of the contraceptive oral pill. Also the launch of the computer revolution. Somehow everything changed so rapidly even if you could not accept it. The businesses did not need so much the working hands, but the automated machines that provided them with much faster resolutions and at a low cost. We can also infer that the lack of censorship in the new Talking Pictures was a boost of information(even if it was the wrong one). The example given to the youth of this era was of freedom at any cost.

Comment on Steve Jobs: Apple tablet"the most important thing i've ever done"

Basically the article talks about a new product powered by Apple, and specially by Steve Jobs. The product consists of a tablet, at an accessible price.

According to Steve Jobs "the most important thing I've ever done" which is curious because we all know Apple products, and since I know about them, there is no other product I would use for my personal computer, or music device. So I am expecting the most outstanding and mind-blowing product ever produced by Apple.

The article itself provides the reader with a sense of reliability in the Apple products and in Steve Jobs judgement. Also it exposes Steve Jobs accomplishments and the rising of the company, more than the product itself. The product is just mentioned in the first few paragraphs. Somehow that makes me nervous because maybe I am expecting more of the product than it really is. Maybe the product is just as any other normal tablet and they are trying to cover it up and convince the reader with the judgement of Steve Jobs.

It is also amazing how Steve Jobs managed to bring Apple up from failure, all his accomplishments, and how we coped with his products.. The products evolved amazingly with our way of life.
